When Broadcom acquired CA Technologies in November 2018 along with its entire software development unit, it also inherited the CA flagship product API Gateway appliance. Since the cloud provided by Google was Broadcom's cloud of choice, Broadcom decided to migrate their APIM infrastructure and applications from AWS to GCP. Having been a long-time partner with CA Technologies, iFusionLabs was called to help to perform the migration.
iFusionLabs’s previous familiarity with APIM Gateway along with deep knowledge of the GCP Cloud allowed iFusionLabs to quickly come aboard and develop a comprehensive cloud-to- cloud migration strategy along with tooling and implementation patterns. Working closely with
GCP TAMs, iFusionLabs created a secured and reliable GCP infrastructure by using full automation lifecycle based on Terraform, Packer and Ansible. It then deployed and tested the APIM application stack including Gateway and the Portal. In addition to the infrastructure and application migration, iFusionLabs participated in clients’ application migration for the Broadcom product lineup.
Thanks to iFusionLabs, Broadcom is now offering APIM solutions based solely on GCP cloud and generates a revenue of ca. $1.2 million annually.
